My Personal Formula for a Fit Life!
This is a pact, an agreement I have with myself about how I personally live a healthy and fit life. My WUM pact consists of facts and beliefs I have about my health and fitness. I review my list often however, when I first made the list I consulted it daily until the thoughts became second nature. You can have a pact too. Wake up Momma! This is your life!
- My “Wake Up” weight is 150 lb (I feel best under 150 lbs if I go over, even by a pound I increase my work out time and reduce my intake.)
- My favorite weight is 140.
- My minimum baseline work out is 30 minutes a day 6 days a week (I may go over it but I never go under it.)
- If I can get it better somewhere else I don’t eat it. (When presented with food like cake or pizza I stop and think about the quality of the food. If I can get it better somewhere else I don’t eat it. The exception would be at a dinner party at someone elses home I would never snub a host by refusing their food…obvious huh!
- Most days of the week I eat very healthy so when it comes time for a dinner out with friends or pizza night with the family I can eat what I want and not think about what may show up on the scale the next morning.
- I feel better below my “wake up!” weight.
- I change up my exercise routine often.
- The hungry feeling I might get around 9 in the evening is my body burning fat so I get a drink of water and stay out of the kitchen!
- Being hungry isn’t a bad feeling.
- Food is Fuel.
- Eat really good food, don’t eat anything that doesn’t taste great just because it’s available.
- The quality of the food you put in is the quality of the life you get out.
- Don’t waste food by overfeeding my body.
- When I find myself heading to the refriderator when it’s not meal time I stop and think about what I’m thinking and feeling or trying to avoid. I have a list handy of other things that I can do besides eating that brings me joy.
This pact is important to me. Living a healthy and fit life is one of my top 5 outcomes for my life! Wake up Momma! This is your life!

WOW! I just recently stumbled across your blog and found this older post through your Prioroity Number One! (http://www.wakeupmomma.com/09/priority-number-one/) post.
I am in awe of your dedication, but more importantly I am appreciative for how succinctly you laid out your Pact. You put in to words so many things I have tried to for so long. Thank you for sharing this!
